This figure looks a good deal like Chris Hemsworth, and is a great quality sculpt. I got it as a collector’s item, so I haven’t taken it out of the package but it looks pretty durable. Due to the fact no item listing Anywhere lists the size of the figure, I’ll state that this figure is 7 inches tall and looks actually fantastic, capturing Hemsworth’s likeness well, as well as his amazing costume.
Now, the figure comes with two things — his hammer, which he can only hold in his ideal hand, and a big circular base that is meant to be joined having a piece that comes with the Loki figure. Each pieces are pointless separately (I don’t have the Loki figure, but I assume it’s useless without Thor’s base). Due to the fact I’ve no plans on finding the Loki figure, the significant circular base that came with this is just a significant disc.
Anyway, this toy just isn’t for kids. You will discover some sharp edges plus the articulation borders on a joke. The knees barely bend, the ankles barely move, and arms hardly rotate too. It is possible to pretty considerably display him as he is out of the box and that is about it. I don’t feel children will get considerably mileage out of him.
So, if this is just for display – I recommend it! If it’s meant for play, get among the small ones you will come across in a toy shop or convenience shop. As a collector, probably the most frustrating things you can knowledge is opening a really good looking, detailed, well-sculpted figure, just to have a hand break off for the reason that the joint was too tight. I’m no veteran to figures and collecting, and I’ve witnessed this all too usually, specially with Diamond merchandise. Star Trek TNG figures were horrible with hands breaking off for the reason that the joints were too tight as well. Even getting extremely cautious to gradually loosen them for posing–SNAP! Along with the further crappy part is the plastic they use is a kind that doesn’t take incredibly well to Gorilla Glue.
Disappointing. Otherwise an incredible figure, but if you snap off a hand ideal out of the package… boo. Grandson received this from Amazon on his birthday–delivered on time as promised. He stated that Captain America is fantastic and is incredibly pleased with this super hero. I haven’t observed the toy as it was delivered directly towards the birthday boy. Based on our 5-yr-old’s remarks, although, I would say he would recommend it for anybody who likes to play super hero. Huzzah! It looks like the Mattel Movie Masters line that gave us some reasonably excellent to fantastic Dark Knight action figures (and one Bat-Pod) for adult collectors to appreciate is back having a vengeance for the upcoming “Green Lantern” motion picture, and I’m so glad. I collected many of the Dark Knight figures, and I was disappointed that no matching scale Jonah Hex figures came out to add to my group, but now there’s a ray of hope that a Superman Movie Masters figure could possibly be on the horizon (with the subsequent Supes movie) thanks to these new Green Lantern releases! I’ve just picked up the starring Lantern figure, Hal Jordan, bearing an outstanding likeness to hilarious star Ryan Reynolds, and I’m so psyched about it! The figure looks fantastic and movie accurate, nicely detailed with metallic green paint and a lantern accessory. This figure is highly articulated and also comes having a stand and a piece of Parallax. The 14 pieces required to construct the Parallax figure Thor Hero Action Figure toys imply there are numerous much more Green Lantern Movie Masters figures to come! Currently, only 3 character figures are pictured on the back of the package, but I’ve observed several other people here on Amazon (package states 11 figures are required to complete Parallax). My overall assessment of this Hal Jordon Green Lantern figure is outstanding, outstanding, outstanding. Adore the likeness, paint, detail, articulation, every little thing! I specially enjoy that he is in scale with my Dark Knight figs (exactly where is the Thor figure to scale with my present Marvel movie collection of 6 inchers?!!! Argh!). On the other hand, will I actually try to collect much more of this line? I don’t know. I actually don’t have a aim of owning the whole Lantern Corps ideal now, and I haven’t observed the film and don’t know who all appears. Sinestro would be cool to have although, but I’d prefer him wearing something other than green…
Anyway, here’s hoping we see much more Movie Masters figures for other DC comics films (It is possible to backtrack some past ones and Tv shows if you’d like; Wonder Woman, Superman the Movie, and so on…). I’d like to construct a DC movie-based display to match the significant one I already have for Marvel, and I wish they’d get back on track with those as well. Match the scale of the old X-Men movie figs please, toy-making powers that be! You nonetheless require to give us 6 inch figures of movie versions of Elektra, Kitty Pryde, Thor, Gambit, Silver Surfer, and I require me a Captain America too, for future reference. Get on those and I’ll be satisfied! Oh, and don’t forget Howard the Duck, ha.
